Your 14-digit reference number is printed in the top-left block of the bill, under "Reference No." It stays the same every month, so you only need one old bill — even a photo of it.
SNGPL uses an 11-digit consumer number printed at the top of the bill. SSGC uses a 12-digit customer number. The checker adjusts the required length automatically when you pick the company.

Payment status is tracked by your utility provider, not by CitizenPay.pk. Bank and wallet payments usually reflect within a few minutes, but near due dates the provider's own system can take up to 24 hours to update. Your payment receipt from the gateway you paid through is valid proof of payment in the meantime.
Usually yes, with a late-payment surcharge added — your provider's official bill-check page will show both the on-time and after-due-date amounts. CitizenPay.pk does not charge or process anything itself; the exact rules depend on your provider.
