About TESCO and its billing
Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company supplies electricity to the merged tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (former FATA). Every month it issues bills showing your consumption in units (kWh), the payable amount within the due date, and a higher amount that applies after the due date (the late-payment surcharge).
TESCO consumers received formal reference numbers more recently than other regions — if your bill doesn't show one, visit your local sub-division office once to get it, then you can check online every month.
How to check your TESCO bill
- Find your 14-digit reference number — it is printed near the top of any old TESCO bill and never changes month to month. A photo of an old bill works fine.
- Open the CitizenPay bill checker and select TESCO.
- Type the number and press Check bill. Your consumer name (partially masked for privacy), billing month, units consumed, due date and payable amount appear instantly.
- Optionally, sign in and press Save & remind me to get an SMS or WhatsApp alert before every future due date.
Understanding the amounts on your bill
Payable within due date is what you owe if you pay on time. Payable after due date includes the late-payment surcharge, typically several percent extra. If arrears from previous unpaid months exist, they are included in the total — clearing them promptly avoids disconnection notices.
💡 Tip: your 14-digit reference number identifies the connection, not the person. If you've moved into a new house or shop, you can check the bill using the number on any old bill left at the property.
Need a duplicate or reprint of your TESCO bill?
If your paper bill is lost, damaged or never arrived, you do not need a duplicate copy to pay on time — the amount, due date and status above come straight from your reference number. For an official duplicate or reprint (useful for record-keeping, address-change proof or a bank application), visit your nearest TESCO customer service centre in Peshawar with your CNIC and reference number, or use TESCO's own duplicate-bill service where available. CitizenPay.pk does not issue official duplicate bills — we only display the amount, due date and status already published by TESCO.
Frequently asked questions
Is checking a TESCO bill on CitizenPay free?
Yes, completely free with no registration. You only see the bill details — we mask part of the consumer's name for privacy, exactly as official inquiry systems do.
My TESCO bill never arrived. Can I still pay on time?
Yes. Paper delivery delays don't change your due date. Check the amount online with your 14-digit reference number and pay through your bank app, wallet or any authorised collection point before the due date.
I paid but the status still shows unpaid.
Payments usually reflect within minutes, but near due dates the company's system can take up to 24 hours to update. Keep your payment receipt — it is valid proof even while the status catches up.
Can I check several TESCO connections at once?
Yes — create a free CitizenPay account and save each connection with a label like "Home" or "Shop". Your dashboard shows all of them together with individual reminders.
