Your 14-digit reference number is printed in the top-left block of the bill, under "Reference No." It stays the same every month, so you only need one old bill — even a photo of it.
SNGPL uses an 11-digit consumer number printed at the top of the bill. SSGC uses a 12-digit customer number. The checker adjusts the required length automatically when you pick the company.

Yes — bill inquiry is completely free with no login required. CitizenPay.pk never charges a fee itself; if you pay through a redirected gateway, any convenience fee is set and shown by that gateway before you confirm.
Bank and wallet payments usually reflect within a few minutes through 1LINK, but during peak days (near due dates) the company's system can take up to 24 hours to update. Your payment receipt from the gateway you paid through is valid proof of payment in the meantime.
Yes. The checker shows both amounts — payable within due date and after due date (with late-payment surcharge). The correct amount is charged automatically based on the payment date.
